Disappointing Ratchet Tool for Automotive Repairs

This hand tool did not meet my expectations for automotive repairs. Despite being labeled as durable and reliable, I experienced difficulty with the socket slipping and the ratchet mechanism becoming jammed. The only redeeming feature is the comfortable grip. Unfortunately, the flaws outweighed the benefits and made it impossible to complete my repairs efficiently.

Pros
  • Easy to use and maneuver due to T handle design
Cons
  • Requires additional sockets to be purchased separately

Great for hard-to-reach places

Well designed for various limited access situations. It is produced under several brand names (probably in the same factory) and the VIM seems to be in the lower price range. It's worth it if you need it.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Very versatile suitable for power tools and hand tools

The versatility of this ratchet/screwdriver is amazing. It can be used as a regular ratchet or replaced with a T-handle screwdriver. Use with regular 1/4" sockets or your choice of bits. The possibilities are endless. The head of the ratchet flexes into secure stops, and the stop is firmly fixed. The finish is excellent. I'm going to buy another one to have in every tool box. Thanks VIM for developing a great tool.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Modernity
