I wonder if it can read my brain speed

Works, stable readings compared to RPM readings from my lathe. I haven't checked if it draws power when it's off (how much cheap electronics just eats up batteries even when it's off). Edit: still using the first battery, in a few years I think? It doesn't consume much juice when it's off.

works fine once i figured it out

Initially I had a little trouble getting accurate readings when checking speed measure my lathe. It turns out that the background of what you're trying to measure needs to be completely non-reflective to work. The spindle on my lathe, though old, dirty, and dull, looked like it would work, but I couldn't read it very well. reflective band across the band. It worked great.

Works best in speedometers

I am happy with this purchase. However, it has some limitations. Maybe sensitive to light? The easiest way to explain this is to simply explain what I need it for. A few years ago I replaced the fan motor in a fairly expensive window air conditioner, but it didn't work properly. Since it was hot like Aida, I just put it away on a pallet and bought a new air conditioner. Well, the compressor of the "new" unit died this spring after a few years and I've decided to give this old one a differentโ€ฆ
