Weak locking system.

I wish it was but the bag wobbles too much and when you go over bumps the bag closure system really grips and afterwards rubs on your tire causing a puncture. This is what it looks like after 550 km of driving.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Some issues

Excellent quality, suitable for mountain bikes!

Excellent components! I felt the quality of this bag as soon as I took it out of the box! Lots of space, easy to install. We had to send it back as it didn't fit our racing bikes. (We have 700c tires and a 51cm frame, so we didn't have clearance.)

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Small parts

Ideal for cycling

I put off preparing for a bike ride and bought this at the last minute. It worked perfectly. 350 miles of rough trails, a full 24 hours of rain and more potholes than I can count. No problem. My stuff stayed dry and securely fastened the whole time.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Not tested but looks more thoughtful than Zefal

Just tested the mount today. Much easier to fit saddle rails than the comparable Zefal (the straps were longer to work with) and the clamps/straps felt a lot bulkier than the Zefal. but is NOT used on the track yet so we'll have to see if any of them excel in the real MTB world. I would vote for Topeak right now.

Failed to sew bike racks and bags

My bag failed the first time. The strap holding the bag off the saddle rails broke after a day of fairly easy 35 mile riding. Otherwise, I like the functionality and volume of the bag, but this is unacceptable. If Topeak can fix this design/manufacturing flaw I will buy this bag again. Unfortunately, the only option Revain allows is a return.

  • Great for a small house

Sturdy, reasonably light, half the price of others

I used it on a four day Florida bike tour. I took all my clothes with me, including some in case it rained. I just managed to fit everything in so you have to be strict with your packing list. The bag attaches well with plenty of wheel clearance but tends to wobble, especially when you get out of the saddle. All in all, considering the price, I think it's a pretty good bag.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Negative impression
