good material good for accessories

is a great product that works exactly how you want it to. easy to put on and take off and stays in place. For those of you who have fit issues, did you notice the clip? I mention this because initially I didn't.

  • Everything is fine!

DeFender RX Fender: Accessory

The DeFender Rx rear fender works great on my 29er and protects my back from dirt and water. The only disadvantage is that the clamping system does not stay tight. I replaced the system with a radiator clamp and it works great and doesn't budge. Nevertheless, I would recommend the wing.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Loose but still glad I bought it

I've always had a problem with it not holding in place tightly enough. He loves to fall and hit the tire especially when I'm going off the curb or something. It also slides sideways slightly on impact, but that's much less of an issue. Other than that it's light weight, blocks water/dirt well and looks decent so I'm still glad I bought it.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons

The best/coolest bike fender on the market!

I love this grand piano! It looks like a dirt bike fender and works great! It's long enough to actually cover the entire top of the tire, so unlike some others it does its job of keeping mud off your back. I read some reviews that mentioned that the tire would keep falling on the tire for the slightest bump, but I had no problems. I also read that it was necessary to "flash" something, I never had this problem either. Costs money!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Terrible fastening system :(

After reading all the previous reviews I wasn't paying attention and decided to buy it. Twisting with my fingers and despite trying to tighten it for an hour at a time kept slipping down and scraped the rear tire as soon as i started riding (i have a giant warp ds 1) while riding on the road forget trail riding maybe if you have something like a "ring" do tape around the seatpost or something that might stop it from sliding further down.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Trade-in availability

Great in theory, lousy in practice

The basic concept of this fender is simple and straightforward: it snaps straight out of the box to any seat post without tools and is quick and easy to fit. It uses the friction created by a strip of leather-backed nylon webbing (similar to a seat belt) stretched across the seatpost. The fault lies in the clamping mechanism. The strap must be inserted into the pivot post which is then hand tightened before it locks into place. Final tension comes from a latch attached to the end of the…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Great idea, poorly thought out design

This fender looked really good at least on my mtn bike. But unfortunately it offers nothing other than optics. There are some decent ideas here, but I think Topeak forgets to do some sort of quality control, prototype testing (or whatever) before shipping to retailers. This wing's adjustable leading edge is great for extra spray control, and the idea of making it a quick-change element is a great idea on paper. Unfortunately, that's all good I can say about this product. As mentioned earlier…

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • No instructions
