Good inexpensive mount

I have it on every bike. I use it with a soft phone case. There are no problems with the stay. But since I'm using it with an (expensive) smartphone, I don't want any surprises: I used a black cable tie on top. You'll hardly notice the tie, so I highly recommend it.

Doesn't seem to be needed at all

This is a plastic clamp. If you have to wait a few days to get it in the mail, order it. If not, go to the store and buy the whole set for the same price AND get a small piece of rubber so you don't scratch your bike. This clamp feels very stiff and I was concerned that the plastic might crack during installation.

  • Brings joy

Cheap plastic. Didn't take it.

This is a cheap plastic part that attaches to the handlebars with a cheap loosely threaded plastic screw. Even though the iPhone is a relatively light object, this part cannot withstand the constant twisting of the phone in its holder in the clamp. It's too weak. There are better handlebar mounts for the iPhone. You may be better served with the Topeak F66 mount if your bike can accommodate it and you absolutely need the dry bag component.

  • Free for educational purposes

  • Expensive

Good and Bad - Accessories

I bought this to mount the Topeak multitool on my seat post to save space in the bad one that attaches to my saddle. The post that the tool is attached to works well with a decent clamp. However, the strap around the seat post is made of plastic that is too hard. When I tried to loosen the strap to attach it to the seatpost, about 1 inch of the strap came loose at the end. I was willing to accept this as there was still enough length left to bypass the seatpost. I attached the strap and started

be careful with this product

I consider myself a more aggressive rider and had two problems with this strap before taking it off the bike. I had an Alien multi tool attached to this item which was attached to the seat post. For the first time on the trail, the multi-tool jumped off the clamp. If my friend hadn't been riding behind me and accidentally spotted him, I'd have to buy another multi-tool. The second time I was riding on the road (with Mtn Bike) and took a too sharp turn and flew out in the middle of the roadโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Has flaws
