Initially loved this product

Initially loved this product but as mentioned the hinges wear out quickly. The screws holding the child seat have snapped off and are falling out, the metal on the hinges is falling off everywhere. I taped back the screws to attach the child seat, works fine. I'm thinking about covering the loops with clear nail polish to keep them from peeling off. This is a great idea and my son loves the seat but the hinges are poor quality.

Potty seat I feel too strong for #momlife

This is our second purchase of this toilet seat; This is for our children's bathroom upstairs. We bought one of these a little over a year ago and are very happy with it in our downstairs half bath. We get comments from almost all of our visitors - both with and without children - about how beautiful it is. All parts of the seat are durable, the child seat does not jump out of the hinges, and there are bumpers on the lid and seat so that little fingers are not crushed. Hooray

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • A little maintenance

An unsettling experience / but a good buy.

First of all 5 stars. I liked it very much! Broke after 2 years. It has a 3 year guarantee. Revain told me to contact Topseat, Topseat asked me to email them a photo of the breakdown and proof of purchase. That's all I did. Next thing I know Amazon shows "order" and fee for $41.91. Very worrying, Topseat will charge me if I don't approve a purchase. Topseat has really replaced the seat. I still don't understand why Amazon said I bought a new location. Revain refunded my money before I received…

This product is absolutely AMAZING. I wish I knew about this product.

The product is just AMAZING. I wish I had known about this product sooner. I have a special needs child with hypotonia (low muscle tone) and balance issues who hated regular toilet seats because they didn't have the strength and coordination to have enough support to relax on them. She always felt like she was falling into a hole. She LOVES it when her own seat goes crazy with her size and we adults don't have to fiddle with attaching and detaching another seat. Installation takes a few minutes

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • I don't remember

A great idea. Let's see if it lasts. Update: No

This seat is a great idea but it's made from inferior materials. We bought this in February for our 3.5 year old and his potty training. It was great and he became interested in the toilet. But by April the hinges were starting to stick, and by July it was basically a one-piece piece – flip the lid down and both seats fit. Good that the manufacturer sent a new one when asked. If the new one lasts until we no longer need it then I will change it to 5 stars as we may have a lemon. If it dies…

I have tried others and this seat is by far the best.

I bought a Mayfair seat that looks like this except the potty seat buckles. I love the concept of a retractable potty seat that attaches to a regular toilet seat. This eliminates the mess and hassle of a portable pot. Mayfair is designed so that you can remove the potty for easy cleaning. The problem is that it doesn't stay in place when you want it to. I've ordered another Bemis. exactly the same problem. The potty kept coming off and I had to constantly reposition it, resulting in much more…

The best infant car seat we have found!

So first let me say that I'm not surprised by the reviews I've read, there are quality issues. But our Next-Step seats broke FAST (after only a few months) and while we missed the slow-close feature, I was happy to get rid of it in favor of stronger seat hinges. We have had two seats for 2 years now and we just broke our first hinge. When they arrived I remember being impressed with their durability, especially compared to another brand. I was a little confused by the lack of installation…

Pros
  • Toilets and toilet parts
Cons
  • Expensive

Update: 6/23/2020 The seat broke. I looked at another review with a photo and funnily enough that's exactly what happened to mine. The hinge pin is a plastic rod mounted in metal hinges. What happened is when my 2 year old daughter moved when I picked her up and I caught her in an odd tilt. It didn't fall or hit the wall, but I heard a pop and the seat wobbled. When I took it apart I found the exact same thing happened as another reviewer. The plastic rod inside broke in 2 places. This is the…
