TOPTOW Tightener Receiver Aluminum Stabilizer Review

Good product would definitely recommend to others looking for anti-rattle devices. I just wish it was tighter to counteract the horizontal wobble more. I use it to stabilize a 4 bike bike rack and bumper on a dual shock mount.

Item arrived on time and undamaged which is always a good thing. This product is a necessity, not a luxury. Especially if you transport your motorcycle on a motorcycle carrier. This prevents a lot of wobbling and loosening of the build, which will only get worse over time. This product is worth its weight in gold. It does a great job!

I have an old bike rack and load hitch. I've always lived with them wobbling a bit when driving, not a big problem but not optimal. This completely solves the problem. My only wish is to be able to install and remove without tools as long as I carry a wrench in my truck door pocket.

I had to squeeze the u-bolt in a vise to get it through the plate holes. I thought I could drill a bigger hole but the plate is anodized. Works great if you have a vise to squeeze the U-bolt or don't mind drilling a larger hole. There had to be a slotted hole to accommodate differences in different batches of U-bolts.

I have other similar products, this style is better because the screw holes are real holes, not slots. I have installed the slotted version on my 1-1/4" clutches and have had U-bolt warpage due to the bolt's ability to move in the slot if you "overtighten". Now I can fix those warped U -Do not use bolts on my 2" clutch. They have no slits and stay in the right shape. I will buy them again, not the slotted version.

If anything you've hooked up to the receiver hitch wiggles (like my bike rack), these little guys will hold it in place. These clips are strong, easy to install and work fantastic. I have a lot of experience with metal and originally planned to make a few of these myself, but I couldn't buy the materials cheaper than them so they're a steal.

I'll admit I was concerned when I read that the stabilizer plates are aluminum but trust me folks this is a great product. I put it on my hitch, screwed it in really tight and it works fantastic. I already had a clutch stabilizer and was really considering just buying one but I've always thought it was nice to have a spare and that's a good thing because I needed this spare rather than the cheap one that came with my clutch was suddenly broken.

The difference in lift between my hitch and the adapter is 1.5 to 2 inches larger than the strut eyelet so it doesn't contact the shaft and form a strut. I had to install it upside down and at an angle backwards so that it made contact with both shafts. So they say don't do it because the studs are at such an angle. so far everything seems to be working fine. They work great on hitches that don't have this depth problem (2" to 2").

Good quality clutch tensioner. The blue powder coating seems to be of good quality and the color is consistent. Bolts are strong. Installation was easy enough as it only fit on one side of a 2" receiver. If I set it to 1-1/4", nothing would tell which way the corner panel should be facing. It's a 50/50 chance, so if you get it wrong, flip it over and you're done. This is the only complaint I have.
