Easy install and quality light

We have over 25 lights installed in the basement which we are in the process of finishing and they look great. Easy to install and even the white part is painted black to match the black painted ceiling. You end up with extra features because you have to buy them in packs of 8, but for the price there could be some extras just in case we want to add more or replace later if anyone has a problem.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Those are wonderful lights!

We used these lights in the kitchen, living room and corner to soften the dark areas of these rooms. We needed heavier connectors for the wires, so we used different ones that weren't included in the kit. The green wires weren't that strong, so we used needle nose pliers to push them through the connectors. Easy installation, nice warm white color as described, and they go great with the dimmer.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

very bright, liked it enough to buy more :)

I like the recessed look (many others look flat and cheap) very bright, doesn't buzz when dimmed with a simple dimmer, drywall Mounting springs are at the correct tension The light is held in place but small adjustments can be made. Note: Weirdly, the hole template is at least an inch larger than necessary, but that's not really a problem. I liked it so much I bought a second pack of eight to replace some of my existing can lights. They really do look like real can lights, not surface mount.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Unusable features

Great product, easy installation with a small caveat

We have remodeled our kitchen with 4 old style pots. We replaced them with these and added 2 more over the new peninsula we built. Replacing existing lamps was very easy and installing new ones was just as easy. Most of the time was spent searching for the exact location to install the new lamps. One caveat: any time you run a wire into a metal case, you must have some sort of sleeve to protect the wire. This was also mentioned in the instructions. It would be nice if there was a jack.

IF YES, HERE'S A GREAT SOLUTION - READ: We're fed up with the recessed lights in our kitchen ceiling, the way cold air blew through them from the attic during the cold winter months, creating a terrible draft and lifting it upwards became. Our heating bill. We just installed these lights and they are the perfect solution - they fit perfectly into the ceiling…

Holds 2 packs of 8 Upgrade Dimmers

I chose these as they match the "old school" look of a fixture that is actually recessed into the ceiling. I like this for a room where I use screens because there is a further downward beam of light and should cause less glare. I replaced a couple of surface mount lights with 16 in a 20' x 20' room. In the brightest light, the room now shines like Monday Night Football. I would say it's at least 5 times brighter than before. But I've added a dimmer and am happy to report that they still look…

Pros
  • Tools & Housewares
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled
