The plastic button on the handle kept popping off and then tearing off, I drill through it and put in a bolt and nut to hold it in place. I had to thread the lifting bolts through the chain to stay under the motor. Worth the money spent.

Allows one person to complete each lift. Just used it last night to get 350 and 700r4 out of my '87 silverado. With the leveler I had enough adjustment to keep them screwed together. I might even be able to keep the transfer case running. The product worked great! I added a second photo for those who assembled the engine and transmission. Finding the perfect balance point isn't fun because you're wasting a lot of time. It only took a few taps.

I used this to pull out a vintage small block V8. I wouldn't use it for a big block, especially with a trance attached. However, he did what had to be done. I agree with other reviewers who have stated that they cut off the crank arm and just used a socket wrench on the other end. At some angles, the chains interfere with the crank. This was very helpful when fitting a 5.0 liter Ford Coyote engine into a very tight engine compartment (I used a Harbor Freight 2 ton shop lift with this item). Used to pull the engine out of a Ford Ranger. It worked great. As you may have read in the reviews, the handle mounts upside down. This is not a defect, but fits into the packaging. The handle is loose and it only takes a minute to swap it out. The rocker arm worked without drooping under the weight of the 4-cylinder engine. This is a great update for my old Northern Tool ruler. The adjustment bar is much stronger and the adjustable position on the main bar is excellent. I don't like that the main pole, red, is loose. It wobbles slightly and doesn't look like my old square steel tubing at all.
