Worked great, easy install - continued on Hwy101.

Worked great, easy installation made driving Hwy101 along the Western Australian coast much safer, easier and less hassle. It's good that we installed them earlier.

Works fine but: cable ties and anchor

One of the turnbuckles has stripped the threads and hasn't come loose, luckily I had a spare aluminum turnbuckle. I have a very heavy camper, but the turnbuckles that come with it seem "light".

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Broadly ok but...

tested when crossing a speed bump (unintentionally)

is worth the money. made a trip to Canada with my camper on my back. I drove over the border at about 30 mph and didn't see a speed bump. Of course the truck flew over him, the camper took off and crashed back into the truck. no visible damage at all.

Item received as shown. This will suit my needs.

Item received as shown. This matches my needs for an existing mounting setup for my Lance 825 camper on my Tundra 5.7. I just finished a 4K trip. Only use Torklift as a front mount. The required voltage was constant all the time. I'm now ordering another set for the city of rear bindings to replace the original chrome spring pull rods they had. Torklift has a strong and durable spring and is easy to install and set up. .

Pros
  • Satisfied so far

Poorly made product, inconsistent spring rate

These springs and turnbuckles perform poorly for the following reasons: 1. The spring rate seems to vary between different springs. In fact, the spring rate is so far out that my Lance 825 Camper keeps sliding back 0.5" on one side but not the other because the spring is loose on one side. recommended springs 1/8" - 1/4".2. The springs creak like a 1980s pickup truck. I pay attention to parking because my setup sounds like the van Uncle Eddie drives in Lampoon Christmas.3. Tow bars corrode…

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
