Does what it should and does it well!

Exactly as described. A few seconds on the rough side and you'll get more aggressive. A few seconds on the smooth side and you have a 1000 grit. I was able to get my blade close to a mirror finish in just a few passes. I'm sure a few more minutes on the 1000 grit and I would have a real reflection. A must have for Tormek sharpening systems - so many in fact I think they should come with the sharpeners themselves.

Pros
  • Power Tools and Hand Tools
Cons
  • High Price

The two sides supposedly give you two different sharpening surfaces on the same wet sharpening stone; Although I only used it dry. Quickly…

I figured a Tormek grader might be worth the extra money over a Grizzly grader if it works. Yes, it really works. I don't think it will turn a 250 grit stone into a 1000 grit stone as claimed, but it does result in a finer finish after using the fine side of the grader on a wheel for 15-20 seconds and it…
