Two of the four partitions would not erase using disk management or Acronis Disk Director, despite repeated attempts. I had a hunch that a factory-supplied disk setup utility would be necessary. I bought this for my MacBook Pro. I replaced my hard drive before (the laptop is very old). When I replaced it I turned on my laptop and found that it wouldn't read the new hard drive or something and just gave me a folder with ? When I put my old hard drive back in, it worked perfectly. So I kept trying, it didn't read the disk at all.

Bought to upgrade my Toshiba laptop to a Toshiba 500 from a 250GB hard drive and the price was good. But other actions delayed cloning until the return period expired - very bad. An existing hard drive has been found to have 512 byte sectors while a 500GB hard drive has an extended 4000 byte sector format - not compatible. The moral of the story is that you need to spend some time determining the fit before you buy.

I have been using Toshiba products for over 40 years and I love them. This hard drive is no exception. 500GB at a great price. It's easy to install and quick to format. The data transfer takes place at a decent speed of 50 m/s without any hiccups. I downloaded 420 GB of DATA in a short time. It's a backup drive of little use. I'd love it if it was 7200 rpm, but that's significantly more money. For the price, this is a great deal.

It wasn't formatted so my computer couldn't recognize it. Therefore, you need an adapter as shown in the picture to format the drive in a format that your computer can recognize. It's easy, you can watch the step-by-step process on YouTube. Toshiba is also a super good brand! Now my wife has enough storage space on her computer, and when she decides to buy a new computer, we can just take out this SSD and put it in her new computer. I love this SSD.
