Toshiba SD-V593 Progressive Scan DVD/VCR Combo with HDMI: The Ultimate Entertainment Solution Review

We bought this to replace a DVD player and VCR that were destroyed in a flood. It worked well for the first 9 months but has steadily decreased since then. During DVD playback, it pauses as if reading the disc, then skips ahead - and the longer you watch the DVD, the more frequent and longer the pauses become. I am very disappointed with this and believe it was a waste of money.

After reading several reviews over a few months I reluctantly bought this device because it had the features I needed. Well, it didn't take me long to read the first customer review to realize that my problem wasn't unique. Problem? The DVD player, after working normally, just stopped reading discs.
