Works perfectly. Very heavy and looks well made

Used for front hitches on my expedition. The ball hitches I had didn't make it easy to hit the trailer. Far, far away from the painted plastic bumper. This is a great addition.

Heavy and strong - does the job.

This allows our hitch to be far enough away from the spare tire on our Jeep Wrangler, allowing us to open the door wide enough to load and unload things even when the trunk is in the upright position. Don't forget to buy clutch pins - they are not included.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not all will fit

High hitch receiver Mobility

1/8" smaller allowing more freedom of movement both vertically and horizontally. or a bike rack is not the best choice. An anti-rattle device would help reduce vertical movement, but not horizontal hitch movement, and that's an even greater problem when the hitch well is 12 inches further from the car.

Ideal for towing a trailer with the tailgate down.

Towing the quad in my Ram's bed with the tailgate open and the trailer attached doesn't work. This made it easy to fix. It's well built and gave me enough clearance to tow a 5x8 trailer with my other ATV on board. FYI, my trailer's 4-wire connector barely reached the connector. I bought an extension cord for what solved this problem.

Served its purpose well for receiver

I bought this for my 2020 polar ranger team to extend my hitch far enough to free the reindeer harvester from my big tires. it worked great and did what i needed. My only complaint was that the receiver was pretty small with little play so like any good American I added some tape and tightened it up so it rattled and rattled through the woods and now all is good.

Hitch Receiver High Mobility

Dimensions are 1/8 inch smaller and this results in a lot of movement both vertically and horizontally. Maybe ok if you're towing a trailer, but for use with a luggage rack or bike rack it's not the best choice. An anti-drum device would help reduce vertical movement, but not horizontal movement of the hitch, and this is even more of a problem with the hitch receiver being 12 inches from the car.

Great problem solver

I installed a front hitch on my 2019 Ram 1500. It is used for maneuvering trailers in a small yard. One problem is that the hitch was so far below the bumper that it would have been extremely difficult to hook onto the trailer without damaging the bumper. The extra length of this extension not only pushed the ball assembly out from under the bumper, but allowed me to rotate the trailer about 75 degrees off the hitch. This is extremely useful when maneuvering around obstacles. The only thing to…
