The original brake piston stop in my S550 Mustang fell apart. Users on the forums have suggested this. They work great and I expect them to last longer than the five years the original ones had.

Possibly the most expensive plastic caps I've ever bought, but they fixed a problem with my Toyota Sequoia. - working brake lights, so I paid a ridiculous price. I think it's good enough that I saved the mechanic by fixing it myself.

Used on a 2002 Toyota Corolla that recently/suddenly had a permanent brake light. This part is located on the brake pedal shaft, which when released presses a switch that turns off the brake lights. This is a plastic part that has broken over time. This way the switch is never pressed and turns off the brake lights. The part is hard to find but easy to replace once the location of the previous part is found.

Worked great on my wife's 1996 Rav4 when her brake lights stayed on and her battery died overnight. These little parts are $6 for two and my wife's 25 year old car will last a few more years. I had a hard time attaching these pieces because I'm 6ft 2" tall and overweight. I had to twist my torso and move up off the floorboard where the brake pedal connects to the firewall. Maybe I should have given this job to my skinny nephew. Not Amazon's fault.

I think if you go to a Toyota dealership and ask for this part you can probably get it MUCH cheaper there. However, if you're like me and your nearest dealer is miles away due to traffic and is only open during business hours, it's worth just paying the price here and having this part delivered to your home. If, like me, you have a Toyota old enough to drink, it's only a matter of time before you notice the brake lights stay on and you see little pie-shaped chunks of white plastic on the floor.
