The temperature display in the truck was always switched off. I replaced the old sensor with a new one and now the temperature is normal.

The refills fell off my Lexus IS300 which this one replaced and it works perfectly. I made sure of that and wrapped it in a zip tie to keep it from falling out again.

My original sensor showed an actual temperature that was too low. -12 at 60 degrees. I couldn't remove the original because of corrosion. I broke the original connector as a result. I was able to plug in an old solid phone cord and get it to work. It originally showed 32 or 0, but after leaving it in the garage overnight it now works correctly.

This has worked great for me and gives correct outside air temperature readings to within a few degrees. My old part didn't testify until the mid 1950's. I'm not sure if this is a genuine Toyota part but I'm sure it will last the rest of my car's life.
