Then the rainbow didn't break

My 4 year old daughter and I couldn't get the prison to do a rainbow on the wall so it was a little disappointing for her. Then she dropped it on the tile floor and it broke the edge. Both problems are user error, but they are positioned as childish.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

doesn't work don't worry

I think you get what you pay for; Don't be fooled by the number of reviews which seem to outweigh recent negative reviews (including my own). My advice (which I will do myself) is spend four or five bucks more for something better that will hopefully work

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

NO ACRYLIC - Prisms and Kaleidoscopes

This prism works reasonably well in bright light, but it's NOT acrylic! It's hard glass! My class was pretty careful with the rug inside, but later we took it outside and it fell out of my hands. Luckily I was close to the ground when it fell and only chipped a few edges, but it could have been a lot worse! This is not a toy for children!

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons

Pretty good, not great

I knew I was buying a cheap prism. I wanted to show my grandchildren (6 and 3) how light breaks into a rainbow. It didn't work the way I had hoped. Maybe I did something wrong, so I bet 3 instead of 1. If you teach science I would recommend getting a more expensive prism for the job. Everything I tried to convey to my grandchildren was fine.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • There are downsides
