They are decent enough

they are decent. I only have a "gigabit" AV1000 configured for the highest possible bandwidth back to the router as the lower rated models actually only have 10/100 ethernet ports so I don't know where their "600Mbps "-Claims come when the physical port is limited to 100. There's also a pair of AV600 for some security IP cameras. NONE of these devices will NEVER really come close to gigabit transmission unless your electrical wiring is totally unencumbered and dedicated solely to these devices,

Pros
  • gigabit port, offer the full speed of your internet
Cons
  • almost everything is there

Disappointing - for Gigabit consider MoCA 2.0/2.5 instead

Very disappointed with this device. I have used homeplugs in the past for smaller connections in homes with limited success. I recently switched to gigabit fiber broadband, but my apartment doesn't have ethernet and I have a roommate, so I figured this might be a good short-term option to get a stable, high-quality wired connection throughout my apartment. . I figured there might be a loss - maybe 200-300 Mbps. About 600 Mbps was quite acceptable to me as a relatively cheap and short-term…

Pros
  • Encrypt data with 128-bit AES to make network secure and private
Cons
  • Seniors

Getting the light on these things is pretty tricky and it is important to read the instructions and/or watch the video on their website so you fully understand what the different light combinations mean. Once you understand this, these things become just amazing. We have weak WiFi at one end of the house and by using one of these on the computer we were able to increase the speed from 3 (Wi-Fi) to 75 (Ethernet over PowerLine). Now it works very well and reconnects every time we open the…

Pros
  • Plug and play, no new cables or setup needed
Cons
  • Piggy bank prize

Great adapter Overall

When I rented a townhouse a few years ago I bought a pair of TPLink av200 adapters (older 200Mbps adapters). I have never used them or even tried them. I recently pulled these out and finally tried them - they work great; but the throughput was basically the same as the WiFi I already have. The main need I have is better connectivity for some PS4 and older laptops. Wi-Fi was bad for them. The house we are in right now was not connected to Ethernet. I thought about rewiring it - it would cost…

Cons
  • Wall socket required
