does what it says! Much cheaper option. --UPDATED

UPDATE 12/23/18 - A final update, almost 2 months later I was able to get a free replacement unit (although I had to pay almost $25 to ship the old units back to TP-Link). It's great that they finally fulfilled their warranty, but since I depend on wifi I had to buy a new system because I couldn't wait two months for them to replace these devices. Appreciate the exchange but not worth the hassle UPDATE 11/08/2019 - I can no longer recommend this product. I had a horrible experience with this in

Wireless? on Whole Home & Mesh Wi-Fi systems

Didn't find any mention that all 3 devices must be connected to WIREI. "Suppose" 2 additional devices just need power and connect wirelessly to the main software network. NOT RIGHT! I bought with the assumption that the other 2 add-ons would only need power. Seems like 2/3 of my money wasted on this assumption. Diagram: - I have a 2500 square foot house - 3 floors - Verizon FIOS at one end of the house and bad internet at the back. - I set it up so that you need to connect one to your main router (see image, note: once everything is connected you should disable the router's internal WiFi, there is such a thing as too much WiFi) - I then connected one

It's been great for almost 4 weeks

When I got the Deco M4 in 3 kits I was impressed by how easy it is to set up, how well all my tech connects to it and how smoothly the 2.4 and 5 work -GHz combined. I was pretty happy for about 27 days, then suddenly the main unit light turned red and all the slave units started flashing red. On the support site I was told that this means there is a problem with the device. In earnest? Many Thanks. Tried three hard resets. The main unit is connected to the network long enough to start or fully…
