I definitely recommend buying, I didnt notice any disadvantages.

I plugged it into my MacBook, plugged in an Ethernet cable, and everything immediately works without drivers, settings, and other manipulations. MacBook Air M1, MacOS 11.4

Pros
  • Inexpensive. Compact and lightweight. It is convenient to carry in a backpack (the tail folds up and hides inside). Almost does not heat up, slightly warm.
Cons
  • Not detected

Plug and Play for 2020 MacBook Air (M1) - worked straight away

After I plugged it in, it worked straight away on my 2020 MacBook Air (M1 model). I get the same speeds as other devices with a built-in Ethernet port. it is lightweight and looks durable. I can recommend without hesitation.

Pros
  • handy
Cons
  • uncertain

Just great on computers and accessories

I didn't rate the tech support because I didn't need it. The product is simple and works very well. I ran a cable to the port but I think my NIC has failed because my speed has dropped. Running from a USB-C port, I again saw a speed increase. Uncomplicated and just perfect.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Is OK

Description incorrect

The product arrived a day late. There were no installation instructions included. The Revain page says it's plug and play. But it didn't work when I plugged it in. Investigating the TP-LINK website revealed that the Macbook Pro driver needs to be downloaded and installed. After that and a restart the adapter worked. However, this should be specified in the installation documentation.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • some problems

Works as advertised

One thing to keep in mind when working with a Macbook Pro (and other laptops) is that you won't get the best speeds from an adapter if something else is plugged in the same page. So if you use 2 4k monitors, your ethernet speed will not exceed 300Mbps. I initially left a bad review because I couldn't get over 300Mbps with this one. However, when I unplug one of my 4k monitors, I can get close to the maximum.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • I'll write back

Works great for USB network adapter

Bought a new laptop with no ethernet port. Plug in this adapter and get over 500Mbps over a USB Type-C port with fiber optic connectivity. Works amazing. Plug and Play with my Windows 10 Pro with no problems. You can close the little flashing light if it bothers you as it doesn't bother me. A very simple and inexpensive way to hardwire a laptop to one USB-C port and leave other USB ports open. It also has a 2 year guarantee, hope I never use it. The time will show.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No power

Cheap, simple, great and works on a Chromebook

TP-Link is a great networking kit. I already have one of their eight port switches. This is a very simple and easy way to add an ethernet port to a laptop that doesn't have an ethernet port. The design allows you to add a USB Type-C port to the back of an Ethernet port. This makes the format very small and handy. When my Chromebook is connected to WiFi, I only get 350 Mbps, but as soon as I connect this ethernet port, I get 1000 Mbps out of the box. Perfect!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Works great with Google Pixel 5

You may be wondering, "why do I even need this since my phone is already wireless?" Ok, I'll try to answer that with my use case. Sometimes my ISP goes down unexpectedly. My router doesn't seem to care if my cable modem or this dongle connected to my Pixel 5 in hotspot mode is connected to the WAN port. It simply picks up traffic and forwards it. So if my cable modem decides to dance with the LEDs, I can just switch to my phone until it figures it out. Also handy during power outages when I'm…

Pros
  • Loads of positive vibes
Cons
  • Hard to say

Works on Android 11. Not on PS5.

This product works with Android 11. I have a Motorola Moto G Fast with Android 11 and I just plugged it in and it just works. It's just plug-in-play with no software installation required. I took some screenshots to compare home WiFi performance and usage of this product. Personally, I've noticed slight improvements as ping and latency are reduced by turning Wi-Fi off. But those are just small improvements for me. Overall a good product but my only complaint is that the USB cable needs to be at
