I used it on my regular lead acid car battery once and it died on me. For both vehicles. Luckily it was in my parking lot. I had to start with another spare battery. I think it would be good to charge a small cell phone battery? I wouldn't try that again on my car. Maybe I got a defective one, like someone else's review. Maybe it got hot because I kept it indoors on the dash but with the window ajar.

I'm not sure if I have a defective one or not. But here's my 2 cents. It works like a green light lol. My Victron MPPT charger read/spoke differently.1. The temperature was 0F (MN)2. Read 0 amps all day3. The tension is on average 13.14-13.50. I never got to 14.5V as stated in their docs and panel. I sent a question to the seller. I'll come back and update based on her answer.
