UPC stickers on faces are difficult to remove.

Great set, great price, but box opened and individual stickers stuck to unit work surface. I messed up a few surfaces by removing the stickers. I'm not sure if this will affect the adhesion of the sandpaper to the block, but the sticker shouldn't have been stuck there.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Not trendy

Best Blocks I've Ever Used

I repair high end composite surf skis/kayaks. I never use sanders, mostly wet sanding gelcoat and epoxy filler. They're light, straight, true, and just the right stiffness. You probably use thin the most. It's a bit more elastic and I can hold it to match the surface I'm working with. I'm not sure how I used to handle this. The big one was never used, it's just too big for my projects.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • Upgradeable

A good product. Beware of the UPC sticker.

blocks are good but I am very disappointed that the manufacturer put UPC stickers on the contact side of the block. The sticker sticks so well that trying to peel it off caused pieces of rubber to come loose from the block, rendering the most used block in my kit unusable. I really had to soak the block in water for a day before trying to peel off the stickers. Anyone who does bodywork knows that the surface of the block must be very smooth. I wish Dura-Block knew that.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Good but not great

Great blocks! Stupid place for UPC code.

These blocks are amazing. They make grinding easy and I have no complaints about their functionality. I do have one gripe, however: As at least one other reviewer has noted, the supplier chose to put a UPC sticker on the leg/sanding surface of the blocks. I count six possible surfaces to find the sticker and one of those surfaces doesn't really make sense. I have found that it is easily removed by putting some naphtha/lighter fluid on the decal and letting it sit for a minute or two.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Excellent quality, if a bit pricey. FYI this is not the velcro version

I've been watching these for years. Finally printed and bought. While I'm happy with my purchase, I wish I had time to tell this model apart from the hook and loop version (the version I really wanted). Either way I'm sure I can get it working. I just need to find the right type of sandpaper to use with this, although I think I can use almost any type with this, but I find that they make some with an adhesive side that you can stick the paper to. Who knows, I might even prefer them to Velcro. I

Good value for money

I've never worked on bodywork before, but my truck has rust spots that I wanted to fix before they become holes in the metal. I used a square grinder and 80 grit wheels to sand away the rust. Primed the metal and then used the body stain to bring the body back to the original paint height, this was easy to do with these blocks, these blocks worked great with the ABN sticky paper I bought. I also used a round sanding block to get into the curve in front of my door. They're very tough, but they…

Fits power tools and hand tools

I'm a complete novice to sanding/body work but I'm building a fiberglass car and I have yet to do it do some rework to get rid of some skin lines etc. I'm pretty good with the mechanical part of the build but working with fiberglass has bothered me for a while. I ended up buying this kit and have used it quite a bit over the past week. Basically it's a cylinder and a small block. They are quite stiff and allow me to participate in the grinding process which is good for my current phase…

This is professional quality

Often you see something on Revain and don't realize it's professional quality, but I assure you it is! You want to go to a professional body shop and ask the body techs what blocks they use. I bet you'll find them with at least a few different Durablock blocks. Durablock knows how to make sanding blocks with the perfect density yet soft to conform to every curve, from being flexible enough for any job but strong enough to always stay true to your angle and evenly blocking materials that will…
