Don't waste time changing tires

I used to have Continental Trail Kings, I assumed they were the same as it was the same tire from the same company. No, that Chinese-made crap isn't worth the hassle of changing tires. The rubber looks and feels as fragile as my camera. It sucks so much they don't even write the company name in big white letters.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Punctured immediately after fitting

I bought these tires and after fitting the bike sat for about half an hour with both tires deflated. After removing the tires, cleaning the rim and tire, and replacing both inner tubes, I reinstalled them only to find them flat again. I didn't use tire levers when fitting the tire, so the tube can't be punctured. I also had rim tape covering the entire rim. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Looks good, handling is ok, but weak sidewalls will lead to ears!

I received them just before I went to Moab to ride The Whole Enchilada. I really trusted these tires and was disappointed. I've ridden trails quite a bit and have never had flat tires, but with these I've had two flat tires within a two mile radius! Do yourself a favor and get tires with heavier sidewalls so you don't have to waste time and money adding tubes. again. They look good and are good for light driving, but anything serious is worth investing in something more durable.

  • Permanent Test Results

6 stars if I could - Sport

I've been thinking about buying these for a while. I'm glad I did. Grip and traction are unbelievably incredible. This is a very moderate increase in width, which in turn increases grip when riding. Sharp turns on the pavement require a bit of adjustment on standard mountain bike tires, but overall it costs money. The downside would be that to get two you have to buy two. I wish they came in a pack of two instead of one. However, once you have tried them out and are convinced of the quality…

A bumpy ride is good for the tires

I don't know why I'm getting a crooked/bumpy ride on the rear tire; I bought two. I would not buy them nor would I recommend them. The only time I don't feel the effects is when I'm driving really fast, which isn't always practical. I put up with this because I threw away my old tires because I thought they were great and don't want to send them back. This is one of those situations where you know you should do it but just don't want to deal with it. I think eventually my ass will get used to…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Extremely difficult to put on and take off but durable

These tires are great for mountain biking but pray they don't flat tire. These things are almost impossible to put on or take off as they are very tight and the tires are very low on the bike. I had to take mine to a bike shop just to have them remove the tire after breaking a bunch of my own tools trying to do it. It ended up taking 2 pros at the bike shop to remove it and then reinstall it after I replaced the tube. I can't imagine the struggle if I happened to get a flat on the trail.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Expensive

Fantastic quality for the price, no more apartments!

Bought to replace the stock tires that came after a couple of punctures on my particular Walmart bike. I live in El Paso and every time I drove on old tires I got punctured by goat heads. If you don't know what it is, consider yourself lucky. After seeing the price on them I definitely decided to upgrade. They are much thicker than normal tires and today I drove two hours without a puncture. In the picture, the dirty tire is new after a day's driving, and the standard tire is cleaner. You can…

PUMP IT! for cycling

check your frame to make sure you can use the tires, especially on hardtails. 29 2.4 is too wide and rubbing against my frame so now I have to replace it which is very painful! I removed the star because it's a bit difficult to get it right. Someone wrote that they are uneven on their rim, I believe this may be an installation error. After assembly, make sure the rim is not covering the tire too much, inflate it a little and check it. You'll probably notice it has a slight wobble, check the…
