Sturdy and well built

I use this antenna on a magnetic mount that sits on top of my network box which houses all my radios and scanners. It pulls VHF/UHF signals well, as well as 700-900MHz.

Pros
  • AV Accessory
Cons
  • Available in white only

preconfigured? in accessories and consumables

ok after installation i checked the SWR and it was pretty close. on UHF it was closer to 1.2 and on VHF to 1.5. It's not installed in the car but in my house with the NMO base plate that Tram sells. I think I could tweak it, but I'll be using it mostly for UHF, so the match suits me. Basically I am satisfied with the antenna.

Pros
  • electronics
Cons
  • i write later

Ability Dual Band Low Gain Antenna* NMO

Ability Dual Band Antenna for those who need a small, simple antenna. It has a Larson-type (more believable) sealed center load. Nowadays it covers a wide frequency range. Size: 18 1/2 inches from the base of the NMO to the top of the antenna. 170 & 3dbd on uhf. @ 25 watts untuned are not required on VHF. And UHF 1:2:1 or below 447-449.995MHz US East is shared. to be circumcised. There are no cutting instructions. Check websites.

Pros
  • Accessories and Supplies
Cons
  • Will not fit all

ok i checked the SWR after install and it was pretty close. It was closer to 1.2 on UHF and 1.5 on VHF. I installed the car but at my house with the NMO base plate that Tram sells. I think I could refine it, but I'll be using it mostly for UHF, so the match works for me. Overall I am satisfied with the antenna

Pros

Cons
  • not bad but...

Worth the money for accessories and consumables

I use this mobile antenna for a 2m installation and also as a scanner in a vehicle. It works very well, just as well or better than my old 1/4 wave wand at 2 meters, but it's also an effective scanning antenna. The design is well done, with a spring loaded button contact inside. I would definitely recommend this to any mobile radio amateur or anyone interested in scanning VHF and UHF as well as 800MHz. frequencies. Good value for money.

Pros
  • No customization
Cons
  • There are new competitors
