I've been looking online for a perfect size screen with small holes and high quality steel that will not rust, tarnish, stain or look like scrap with normal use. Wow great quality little colander. I was surprised at how good the fit and finish are. The overall width of the colander (including handles) is 9 inches and the inner diameter of the bowl is 6.25 inches. The overall height including the ring base is 3.5 inches. I stamped "Made in China" on the bottom of the bottom ring, out of sight. The construction looks very solid, and the sieve has already been washed several times in the dishwasher, which has not done any noticeable harm to the aesthetics.
