Waste of money on parts

I completely rebuilt the engine in my 1989 Bronco and installed a Trans-Dap throttle body gasket. The engine idled incorrectly and would not give gas without choking. I think the turbulence caused by the struts fooled the IAC. After removing the spacer it works great.

  • Fuel System

  • Not bad

It made my truck WANTED!

The price was right and my engine performance has definitely changed. The fit is tricky when it comes to throttle cables and I think I still need to adjust, but overall my truck runs stronger. It was installed on a 1988 F150 XLT Lariat designated 351Windsor 5.8L vin H. I'm a happy driver. Great and easy upgrade at a great price.

  • Spare parts
Cons
  • No automatic

Will not fit stock 460 throttle body. Meets idle speed sensor. Caution

Did not bolt on but came with fasteners to move bracket with throttle cables. To update. I tried to start but the idle speed sensor was interfering. It will not fit Ford 460 truck engines from the 89-90's. It extends the throttle body by 2 inches. So it gets caught in the throttle body and cannot engage. So crazy. I don't know how they expect it to work. Maybe if you buy a $400 throttle body or something like that, but not stock. Beware.

Pros
  • Spacer
Cons
  • Security

Wrong throttle cable adapter

Throttle cable plate adapter drilled wrong, hole too small for mounting screws. Then, after I drill them, the countersink isn't big enough or deep enough for their screws. Then the threaded hole is too small for the fastening screw of the factory plate. Now I need to drill it and cut it in 5/16. After drilling it with a 17/64 bit it was required. the faucet is broken. What now? I don't know why they send 2 small pieces of aluminum to extend the bracket. Why not make a cymbal mounting plate! So…
