Failed when I needed it most

The belt seemed great until the buckle broke halfway through the 4 week trek in Southeast Asia. And as luck would have it, I couldn't easily find a replacement that fit my all-American body, so instead of wasting days breaking something, I grabbed a shoelace.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Not big enough for the travel bag

I wear trousers with a waist size of 42 or 44, depending on the manufacturer. It didn't suit me at all. The rest looked fine. The zipper for storing money or documents looks and feels pretty secure. Some reviews mentioned that the buckle was weak. I didn't break it a few times when I tried it, but it seemed a bit flimsy to me. Knowing the possibility of fracture, I may have been more cautious than some people. I gave it to my son but he rarely wears a belt. I haven't seen him use that belt.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

The belt was enough for one trip

I bought this belt because I often travel abroad for work and I don't need to be in office clothes, but I would like a belt for a few flights. I used it on a 2 week trip to Asia and it took 2 days of flying and 4 to 5 other occasional socks before the belt loop broke. If the buckle mechanism was detachable and could be swapped out it wouldn't be so bad, but the useful strap is hampered by the buckle attached to it. Travel will be a plus.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Quality

Perfect usability, dubious durability

The buckle just snapped, a year later the belt is now unusable. The score went from 5 to 3. Anyway, here is the text of my previous score. That's great! Classic looks, solid construction, secure closure, and a case so thin no one will believe it's a money belt. Bills need to be folded in four and placed separately, but there's plenty of room - a small price to pay for a thin design. While it can pass a checkpoint without discarding it, I still had to discard it at one of the checkpoints.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not sure

They don't look good, but they don't stand out against metal detectors

These straps (brown and black versions) have served me well for the month or two that I've had them done. I have to go through a metal detector to work every day and my standard snares kept going off, especially when they changed guards and some smart guy turned up the sensitivity to give newbies more "wand experience". You can take any piece of metal off you and your belt buckle, even a relatively small one, will still set off a highly sensitive metal detector. These belts perform as I hoped…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No form required
