Faulty Design, Poor Performance

Based on our own experience, this product fell short of our expectations. While the initial setup was straightforward, we quickly found that the jig did not align properly, resulting in poorly fitting joints. The only bright spot was the quality of the materials used, which seemed to be sturdy and well-made. Unfortunately, this was not enough to make up for the design flaws and lack of functionality. Overall, we do not recommend this product.

Pros
  • Accurate and precise mortise and tenon joints can be created easily with this product.
Cons
  • Requires additional tools such as a router or drill to be used effectively, adding to the overall cost.

Useful, expensive, limited

It's just a fancy steel brace. You can make them from wood, but it's much more convenient to use, and they will cut corner tips. The guide, bushings and mounting bar are very useful. The template cuts precise and perfectly tight connections. It cuts dowels with rounded ends that fit into the rounded ends of the grooves. Maximum workpiece size is approximately 2½ inches square. You can use slightly wider and thicker pieces (2 ⅝" thick x 2 ¾" for chiseling and about 2 ½" for tenoning), but check…
