Good and affordable NVR

We have used several of these systems and the 8 channel and 16 channel systems work reliably. Trendnet cameras are also of good quality with metal bodies.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I'll write back later

Currently unknown

DVR received on time and in perfect condition. Installed on site, currently 8 IP cameras are connected, but the device does not provide live view. We are currently working with Trendnet Technical Support to troubleshoot or replace the device.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Requires Internet Explorer for remote access

I wouldn't recommend this provider. Many products use outdated standards. This works, but I've encountered problems configuring the product remotely. aspx scripts require MS Windows and Internet Explorer.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Great picture

Great picture. The UI might need some work. I think more for technicians. The user manual needs improvement. Motion detection is very sensitive even at the lowest settings. It keeps crashing. For this reason it is not possible to use the email notification. The setting ranges from 0 to 100 and can only be adjusted in increments of 20 points. All eight cameras work for me.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Don't buy this if you don't mind waiting a few days before using it.

it. I have never had this problem with any other Trendnet NVR (NVR208 POE) that I own. These NVRs are fully password protected from the factory and cannot be reset without Trendnet Technical Support providing you with an unlock code. Once unlocked they work very well, I have 4 Trendnet cameras, 4 Uniden cameras and 2 Amcrest cameras connected to this NVR with a D-Link DES-1210-28P (POE) switch to switch the cameras To be powered, Uniden and Amcrest cameras use ONVIF protocol and they work fine,

Pros
  • . Great price.
Cons
  • . Low maintainability.

A good base device, but a few issues prevent it from being great.

This NVR is very easy to setup and use. Adding TrendNet cameras was a plugin and everything worked right away. However, not all things are good, so let me talk about each of the issues this device is facing. The time is not correctly synchronized with the cameras. The device receives ntp with what appears to be a scheduled task to query and set the time, not to constantly sync. It doesn't provide ntp to guest cams and as a result they get out of sync. Some camera work to disable daylight saving

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive
