I think it's a good router.

The UPNP (Universal Plug and Play) function did not work. Called support and after lasting at least ten minutes telling them the UPNP feature is not working, the tech asked me to do a basic reset of the router, turn off the router. When that didn't work, she asked me if she could call me back tomorrow as her boss was away for the day and couldn't help her troubleshoot the router. Looks like only junior techs are working at 9pm EST. I gave them two stars because the technician tried and this is…

Get something different. One more thing.

Becomes annoying over time. In the best case. The 5 GHz connection is too weak to be usable. If you live in an apartment where the neighbor's access point is on the adjacent channel, this router is VERY bad at handling interference. -Network client, it's almost as if the router SELF intervened. Today my wife told me that the WiFi is (again) bad. I used a second access point using it as an uplink to the internet and downloaded 17-20 Mbit/s. I connected to this thing's Wi-Fi, and when it worked…

Pleasantly surprised!

This review is for the TEW-752DRU Dual Band USB Gigabit Router. I bought this router when it sold for $35 in July 2014, replacing a single band router I've had for 7 years. Considering the price range, this is a fantastic router. For $35, it's a steal to get a working dual-band router with Gigabit WAN/LAN ports and a USB port. Performance at 2.4GHz is on par with the single-band router I replaced. Simultaneous dual band works fine. I didn't use the USB port, so I can't say anything about the…

  • Everything is fine!

Works but quirks in my configuration

My house is big enough that it needs an access point in addition to my main router (ASUS RT66U). So setting this router into access point mode leads to some weird things that I worked on for many hours one night with no success. If you select "Enable Access Point Mode," other fields, such as B. the IP address of the router, not. In my case I'm stuck with the router assigning itself 192.168.1.175. It's been quite a while since I don't remember everything I've tried, but after setting up a few…

5GHz weak good for computers and accessories

Someone else mentioned this, but it's worth repeating - the 5GHz band is bad. I bought this because I live in an apartment complex with a saturated 2.4GHz frequency. 5GHz should solve this problem, but I can barely get a signal in a room. As long as you have line of sight and are within a reasonable range (maybe 20ft?) it will work fine. As a result, I went back to 2.4GHz, which actually performs better than my previous access point. The range for 2.4GHz is pretty weak too, but I agree as the…

Great for streaming and gaming

This router was exactly what I was looking for. I've never used TrendNet before, but the online interface and hardware are very reliable. The Gigabit ports and HD video streaming speeds on the N600 were perfect. The only inconsistent part was the dual 5GHz option, which sometimes shows up and sometimes needs to be reset. 2.4GHz frequency is more powerful and stable at all times. I highly recommend this product and hope it will last for years.
