I have no idea how this can even happen

I don't take our 1 star reviews lightly but this lock broke the first day I used it. I got my boat out for the first time yesterday and when I came back to unhook everything I found the lock had fallen out completely! See photos. This empty hole is where the lock should be and where the key goes in. I have no idea how this can even happen, but it happened.

Lock with universal coupling Trimax

I am very impressed with this lock. It doesn't look like the picture, instead the button lock is at a 90 degree angle to the stem. This allows it to be regulated. Looks very successful. The only downside is the round key. Despite the security, it will be difficult to get a duplicate key for it. I keep losing my fob keys and need a spare pair. For safety, someone can break it with a hammer. If I leave the trailer unattended I plan to fit a primary latch. But if it's locked to my truck, it's…

Piece of junk!: Coupling Parts

Don't waste your money on this. Spend a little more money for a stronger lock. When we first received and used it, it was great. After standing in our RV for a month it was so rusty that even after oiling it was difficult to remove the lock. So we hit it with a piece of metal to move it and the long part of the lock bent and broke. We didn't try to break it, we just tried to knock it out of the RV. So if we didn't try to break it it means someone trying to steal our camper wouldn't have a…
