I wanted a multi-story scratching post with a hammock and closet, but it usually costs a million dollars over my budget. It was a great value (32) to check out my entire wish list. Well I was hoping this scratching post would be better than the reviews but I had to listen to them! When assembling, part of the scratching post is screwed in badly. It just keeps spinning forever. This cat tree is easy to assemble and comes with connectors, screws and wrenches. But fitting the sagging seat between the two cord-covered tubes was a challenge because if tightened enough, the carpeting would pucker and warp. Good value for money. It's made of not very durable material, in fact the front of the base (where the hole is) looks like cardboard maybe? The first tree we got this part crushed almost immediately after installation. It cracked a little when we received it, but the base quickly began to collapse under the weight of the rest of the tree (not the kitty yet). So we had it replaced.
