Easy to crush and hollow out.

I had high hopes but have failed several times. It really shouldn't be used for anything over 22 gauge. Maybe I'll sharpen it somewhere. I have to study it. Maybe I'm just an idiot.

Wonderfully sharp: shaper accessories

As long as they are good and sharp. We'll see how they fare with 28ga platinum wire. I wrap a lot of precious metal and gem wire which requires clean cuts in precise places. Small hands also fit well in my palm.

  • Perfect for outdoor activities

Superb quality, precision tool at a dizzying price.

These are the most expensive cutters I have ever bought - stunning - but also the most accurate. I love how I can get right to where I want to cut instead of cutting a nearby wire. I like the straight cut. Excellent quality.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • No power

Great tools at Power & Hand Tools

I have an online store on etsy.com and I make jewelry. I've found from personal experience that you're only as good as your tools let you be. Tronex makes great tools. I love it. I love all of their products. When you have the best, it's easier to make beautiful jewelry. You can't go wrong with Tronex.

Cons

Great for jewelry making

I don't know how I managed without them! I use them to flush cut the beadalon wire when finishing jewelry. The cutters are just the right size to work between different beads (without damaging the smaller beads, which I did with larger scissors) and they fit comfortably in my hand.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

WORTH IT FOR LOVERS OF SMALL WIRE!

I usually work with 26 gauge wire (usually gold filled and sterling silver) and then I go from 28-22 gauge, POSSIBLY 20 gauge, with these wire cutters. For a while I wove a string of beads on wire almost every day and ate the incisors every 3-6 months. I worked in a bead shop for 4 years and it was typical cutters. I asked a friend who owns a bead shop and she recommended these chisels to me. The price was a little steep as I usually didn't want to spend more than $12 (because I tore up the…

Great Product - Set Screw Assembly Instructions

I am very impressed with the build quality of these pliers as well as the results. I bought Tronex 5223 pliers to make square, flush cuts on the ends of thin wire, which they do surprisingly well. Pay attention to the image below which shows cuts up to 20 and 26 gauge. Copper wire versus a traditional bevel cut. With my hands on the larger side, I wasn't sure what size pen I needed. I chose the 5" model because I suspected that smaller grips would allow for more precise control and it was the…
