Tru-Flate's String Repair Inserts feature a super sticky adhesive and excellent flexibility and compressibility to ensure an air-tight seal on most tread punctures. For emergency repairs to most auto and truck radial and bias-ply tires. For safety reasons, a punctured tire should always be removed from the rim to allow inspection of the inner tire surface for hidden damage that could cause the tire to fail unexpectedly. Inserts are 7 inches long. Box of 50.

A product that has proven itself.

I have been using them for many years. In most cases they work very well. They say they are for temporary repairs but I have used them for a simple puncture repair and they have lasted the life of the tire with no problems. Be sure to place them through an existing nail hole. Check carefully to make sure you don't make a new hole and they work fine.
