Great replacement for my old lampshade.

Installation was easy. I modified my flashlight to be able to insert screws (drill a bit) since the old T-handle had rivets. Once it's done, everything comes together nicely. Was for an older Navajo top stone but I'm sure it will work for many others with or without modification.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Older model

Do not use where salt is high

I mounted this on the cover of my ARE truck, it fit perfectly and replaced one that had worn out for almost 10 years. Two weeks later it showed clear signs of corrosion. Sure, we get a lot of snow, ice, and salt in the Northeast, but the old lock knob didn't look too bad when it was removed.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • No performance

Make sure yours is in place

Got this for my fairly old camper case. I had to take a closer look at how it attaches to the RV bodywork. I had to drill larger holes in the case and find some screws that match the latch to attach it to the RV case. Once I did that it installed firmly and worked great. Well made, lock works great.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Must use some of your existing handles

Installing these handles required reusing the locking bar on your existing topper. If you don't have it or it's damaged, this isn't the prediction you want. Find a handle with a strike plate. I had to drill out the screws on the existing handles, rendering them unusable. I had to return them for another set. My focus is not only on the product but also on the customer service which is lacking.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

requires fastening material. suitable for ARE Shell

works on ARE Shell. he fits. I removed the star as no bracket is included. The mounting screws on the standard ARE handle don't match the threads on this handle so I had to buy screws. It seems to me that it should come with the correct mounting hardware. A trip to the home depot found the right screws. but if i still have to go to home storage, why buy a pen online? Most auto parts stores stock them, even some large retailers.

Pros
  • Many positive emotions
Cons
  • Speed

Great replacement handle.

I recently bought a used Century camper that had no keys. Instead of paying a locksmith for a key, I decided that a new handle made more sense than an old, rusty handle. Like many old sinks, my old handle was riveted. The drill quickly removes them. Just get a little more than one hole for the rivet and carefully drill through. I also had to drill holes in the door frame to mount the new handle. Again, only drill slowly and carefully and do not bend the door/glass! Including fastening screws…

Pros
  • Nice package
Cons
  • Can't remember

The tailgate of the motorhome closes again!

I couldn't lock the hatch in my apartment building because I lost my keys to it years ago. I stumbled upon this one by accident and am very happy with it! I had to drill out the rivets on the original and then drill larger holes on the outside of the door to accommodate the new slots for the latch screws (don't drill out the back - no need!). A small job that anyone can do. The new bolt/lock was installed and operational in less than 30 minutes after delivery. I really like the idea that there…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
