Tuff Support Liftgate Lift Supports: 2-Piece Set for Subaru Forester 2003-2008 Review

I recently tested these liftgate supports on my Forester and was thoroughly impressed by their performance. As a result of my tests, I determined that these supports provided excellent stability and smooth operation while raising and lowering the liftgate. The installation process was also a breeze, taking only a few minutes to complete. The only downside I found was that they were slightly more expensive than other options on the market.

I was concerned these parts would not fit as they looked different than mine. It fit perfectly and was easy to assemble. works like new.

2008 Subaru Forester OEM Installation was great and installation was easy. FYI, they fit SG bodied Foresters of all years (MY2004-2008). They were purchased to replace stock struts that were nearing the end of their useful life and slowing down in colder weather. After installing this product they worked well for 90% expansion and then need to be "raised" to fully open at normal ambient temperature.
