I love the idea of ventilated tights for a tough summer.

I love the idea of ventilated tights for the sweltering summer heat so I bought these for my daughter to wear to riding camp and her regular sessions. They are very light and extremely comfortable. My only gripe is that the knees aren't very well reinforced, although they have a small "grip" area and there are no belt loops. (If I had ordered my daughter a size up, which was the right length for her, they would have fallen right off her skinny butt. Since we couldn't tie her belt, we had to…

Poor material selection/quality for intended wear and tear

There is a serious design flaw in the fabric selection and how the knee pad is sewn into the tights, creating a rubber surface within the tights at the knee and an extra thick, abrasive one elastic seam . My daughter wore these tights during an hour riding lesson and developed blisters on her legs that required antibiotic cream and bandages to heal, making riding painful for days. The blisters really left scars. I was looking for a way to sew or iron some lining in the patches to salvage my…

Very thin, looks awful when shirt tucked in. Looks pretty cheap

My daughter says they are very soft and cozy hence 5 stars for comfort. However, I was surprised at how thin they are! I can't imagine them lasting long. They don't look very pretty either. My daughter is skinny and her waist is too loose. For reference, her waist is 25.5 inches, she weighs 78 pounds and is almost 5ft 1in tall. She has Tuffrider Artemis Equicool leggings in the same size (L/12) that fit her waist and hips perfectly. Artemis also appear to be of a much higher quality. Because…

Great for riding in hot weather

I first bought these medium sized tights a year ago for my very skinny 9 year old daughter. She needed something to wear for summer camp and classes in the heat. They are well ventilated and the best riding pants I could find for hot weather (much cooler than the more expensive brand we recently bought). I bought a second pair to last through the summer. I've only hand washed them and air dried them, but after a year of use they outgrew them (they were still dangling from her) and they lost…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Pretty much everything is fine

Sizing is not the same as others in the same style

We have several pairs for my 9 year old daughter. I ordered this pair as a Christmas present to complete my riding lesson outfit. I ordered in October knowing it would be a gift. However, when she opened them on Christmas morning, they were a very different size from her other pairs of the same style/size. They are too short and she cannot wear them with her worn out boots. I took them to other pants and the difference was obvious. For a few inches. I regret not opening the package and looking…
