Tuffy Milk Filter Disk 4 9/16: The Perfect Dairy Filtration Solution Review

The product works well for filtering milk, but the filters have a rather unpleasant chemical smell, which worries me. I'm not sure why they smell so bad, but I'd like to know what they treat them with.

I had the same issue others have reported of glue/glue flavor transferring to milk. The batch I received was unusable. However, the seller was a pharmaceutical store and was great to work with. Communication was quick and the solution was offered immediately. He also informed me that a new batch from the manufacturer should arrive next week to try again.

These are not my milk filters as the consistency between filters is not the same. Some flow so slowly that it can take half an hour to filter a gallon of milk. It's a real agony because I won't wait that long so I have to pour the milk back into the bucket, take out the filter, throw it away and get a new one. Others work fine.

We have used this brand of filter successfully in the past but have given up for various reasons. We decided to try again and the taste/smell of our milk changed drastically when filtered. I know they are filters because they have the same smell before filtering milk. I hope it was just a bad batch otherwise I will never use them again. I gave two stars because otherwise they drain the milk well. Other filters are clogged by the thickness of the polyethylene film.
