Great supplier! on my review.

This is my dogs favorite toy- granted it is not as tough as they state- my border collie can put a hole in it just by holding and shaking it.But, this last order, pig #8, came with a very strong and scary chemical smell to it, very strong, i could smell it the second I opened the plastic bag. I have never had this happen on any of the other pigs. It just made me worry about what my dog was putting his mouth all over. I immediately contacted the seller and told them and asked if they would…

Pros
  • The multiple layers of material used in TUFFY toys create a unique texture that dogs love to chew on, providing them with both entertainment and dental benefits
Cons
  • The toy may require frequent washing

Best dog toy I have ever purchased!

I have an 18 month old Bloodhound/ German Shepard mix and she destroys EVERYTHING! She even ate one of my couches (no lies). I have had similar toys in the past, not quite to the scale of this piggy though. I had seen this toy numerous times at petsmart but I could not justify the $20 price tag on something I assumed the dog would destroy. When I saw it on amazon for nearly half the price I couldn't resist the cuteness anymore! When it came in the mail I immediately gave it to my beastly puppy…

Disappointed - my new review

I have purchased these in the past and was so very happy that something lasted longer than a few seconds. A while back I bought the hippo for the first time but was disappointed but thought that maybe it was graded below the pig for toughness.Unfortunately that wasn't the case. They are not made with the same quality of materials as they used to be which takes away from their overall toughness and therefore not worth the price. I'm saddened by this and won't be buying any tuff toys in the…

Chewers beware: Cotton everywhere!

We've been getting Tuffy stuffed toys for our enthusiastic chewer for a long time now and they are great! The pig version has lasted nearly 4 months and for a while it seemed fantastic. Until she got to the unstuffing part. Unlike the dinosaur series that is stuffed with traditional fluffy stuffing, the stuffed pig is full of tiny pieces of cotton that break apart and look like an explosion. You can't vacuum it, and you can't pick it up easily, so you end up sweeping, then vacuuming every day…

Pros
  • The Barnyard Pig design is unique and eye-catching, making it a great conversation starter at the dog park
Cons
  • The material can be noisy when dogs play with it

This Little Piggy got chewed, chewed, chewed.

Just got this little piggy in the mail. and within 10 minutes of playing she's got a hole in her. I'm so sad. We tried this product when our Springer Spaniel, Bella, was a young dog/old puppy probably around 1-2 years old. She loved it then and the pig lasted forever! When other products failed this one stood the test of time and when she finally destroyed it and pulled all the stuffing out she would sleep with the sleeve of a pig! However, now that she is 8 and has been restless we decided to…

Most Tuffys are great, but avoid a few

My dogs are very heavy/tough chewers. Most of the Tuffy toys are well made and stand up, but some don't. Here's the rundown:Recommend these: - Ultimates Tug-O-War: Had this for over a YEAR and still holding up strong (no tears at all). - Lobster: Had it for over six months before it finally succumbed to canine teeth and tug-of-war battles. Worth it! - Turtle: After a year of heavy chewing, tug-of-war and knawing.it finally gave way. Well worth the price. - Crab: Still going strong after six…

The best stuffed toy! Impressed!

I have aggressive chewers and to this day haven’t seen any ‘stuffed toys’ as durable as these tuff toys. I bought the pig and sheep duo for my German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois. I didn’t realize how big they were, but am thankful as my pups have a harder time destroying these right away. We are on Day 2 with a couple of rips, but seriously is still in amazing tact. (Most toys/stuffed animals are in the trash on Day 1).The stuffing is really in there and hard for them to get right away. The…

Great products - this one is a little cumbersome!

I love the Tuffy's stuffed toys. I have two lab-mix dogs that are serious chewers. In general, we do not purchase stuffed toys for them because they can rip most open within just a few minutes. The Tuffy's toys relaly hold up well. They can eventually tear them open, but it takes quite a while and keeps them entertained for weeks while they work on it.That being said, this one in particular is just too big for my dogs. My pups are about 50 pounds each, but the girth of this pig is just too big…

Pros
  • TUFFY toys are designed to float, making them perfect for games of fetch at the beach or pool
Cons
  • May not be gentle enough for indoor play

Lasted over a year with a growing Boxer Puppy!

I LOVE this toy! We got this pig for our older dog that intentionally destroys every toy within seconds. She tried for hours and finally gave up on it. Then our adopted boxer puppy comes along and this is his best friend. When he first arrived, he was half the size of the pig and couldn't even move it. He would grab onto the tail or ear and shake it so hard that his whole body shook, but the pig didn't budge. As he grew, the pig went everywhere with him. He played with it and slept with it. If…

Not too durable. be prepared to sew

I bought this for my 10 month old beagle after a referral from my Brother saying how good 'Tuff Toys' are. This a way more durable than most dog toys however I was a little let down. The seams around the legs and ears were not great. I could pull them and see the stuffing right out of the package. My puppy figured that out within about an hour too and started to get the stuffing out. I caught it quickly and got my needle and thread out and fixed it. It took about 2 hours of sewing but now it's…

  • TUFFY toys are designed to be tough enough to withstand even aggressive chewers, reducing the need for frequent replacements
Cons
  • The toy may not be as comfortable for dogs to play with

Good, but not great

We have a labradoodle puppy, and I thought for sure this would hold up to her strong biting tendencies. No luck. She loved it, but she had the seams open in about 15 minutes. I tried sewing it back up, but after 4-5 times, I just had to throw it away. Our dog seems to fixate on the seams, so this was not a good fit for her. If your dog doesn't want to rip seams, it might work better for you. It's very well made and best of all doesn't squeak.

Perfect toy for highly destructive dogs

My sister got a Jug (Jack Russel/Pug mix) a few years back and she was the cutest little dog. Her favorite kind of toy always has been stuffed animal types. Unfortunately after a few months every stuffed animal we bought her was decapitated and "de-stuffed" within minutes resulting in us having to throw out our creepy "stuffed animal graveyard." She is an extremely powerful dog, able to pull a 75 pound child around a room who's holding onto the other end of a rope.We switched to Kong rubber…

Pros
  • With in 15 mins an ear is gone.Love the size for adult Danes. Love the brand. Jury is out on big kid
Cons
  • It took my 8 month old Holden about 4 months to pull the stuffing out of his pig.

Does not hold up to a strong dog

We have a 2.5 yr old Bull Terrier. Someone from a BT message board recommended this piggy for its durability and said it lasted two weeks. Our dog was super-excited with piggy. We tossed it a few times and kept him from running off with it because "it’s not a chew toy.” Then he hopped up on the bed with it and ripped off a foot in less than two minutes! We should have known that no stuffed toy will last with our breed. Just want to warn other owners of large/strong breeds—-this toy is not for…

Pros
  • My dog loves it. Great for aggressive chewers. Great for cuddling too
Cons
  • Cute toy, but my little grand-dog had the stuffing out in the first 20 minutes. LOL

Very good dog toy for my opinion

I have two german shepherds that are very active and I've been buying this line of stuffed animals for them for awhile . first of all you need to understand while these are advertised as "tuff" that does not mean they are industructable. If your dog chews it, it won't last long. Probably 95% of the negative reviews here are from people who don't understand that no stuffed animal is going to last as a chew toy . if your dog chews everything, you probably should give up on stuffed animals. But for

Cons

Heavy duty tough pig 🐖

I bought this for Frank. He is a 30lb. Aussie mix that is a chewer. He typically decapitates and eviscerates toys. Tuffy toys are the exception- he chews them, tosses them, tries to gnaw off pieces but he is quite challenged by these tuff toys. The pig has been very difficult for Frank to render. It’s bigger than I thought it would be and he totes it around, but he is struggling valiantly to tear off pieces. Ears and tail are gone after 3 months.

Pros
  • With reinforcement stitching and multiple layers of fabric, TUFFY toys are designed to withstand heavy use and frequent washing
Cons
  • The toy may be too hard for some dogs to play with

Updating this review: i have a french bulldog that LOVES to savagely destroy and de-fluff an toys he gets, which makes it annoying to spend money on toys because you know it averages about $1 a minute. This toy lasted about 5 hours. I was worried it would be too big when I first saw it - it's half the size of my frenchy. My frenchy had no issues with its size and he sprinted around with the pig, vigorously shaking for an hour. It will withstand vigorous tenderizing - but mine focuses in on a…

Pros
  • TUFFY toys are versatile enough to be used indoors or outdoors, making them perfect for dogs who love a change of scenery during playtime
Cons
  • May not be as versatile as other soft dog toys

Boxer, bacon best in my review

Had a pig like this that my last boxer and Rhodesian both shared. That thing lasted both of them well over 5 years. My current boxer destroyed the first one in about 30 minutes. They look rugged and feel pretty sound. Honestly it is a fair price for two of them. I just expected it to last longer.

Pros
  • TTJP
Cons
  • May not be as soft as some dogs prefer

Not a tough piggie best in my review

This is my second Mr. Piggy actually. I have a 9 month old lab and she has gone through two of these - for her they are vulnerable at the top/piggy spine area. My friend bought her one and it lasted a month and I had to replace it because she loved it so much - and the latest one lasted not even a month. I still have them in a drawer - thinking I will try and sew them - but won't buy the piggie again.

Pros
  • The playful design of the Barnyard Pig can help encourage your dog to engage in healthy play behaviors, improving both their physical and mental fitness
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all dog play styles

It’s so funny to watch my dog with this giant pig!

It turns out this one was a little much larger version of the previous one that I bought, which explains the five or six dollar price difference. However my great Dane loves the bigger one! The one downside is it doesn’t have any squeakers in it, But I missed that in the description because I thought I was buying the same thing that I’ve had previously. It’s so funny to watch my dog with this giant pig. It barely fit in my standard sized mailbox. LOL

Pros
  • TUFFY toys are designed to be long-lasting, reducing the need for frequent replacements and helping you save money in the long run
Cons
  • The toy may not be as soft as advertised

It seemed more like a stuffed animal than a dog toy

The pig seems durable. It was bigger and rounder than I thought it would be for my Australian Shepard. It seemed more like a stuffed animal than a dog toy. The good news is that she hasn't tore it up, yet and carries it around everywhere! It seems like a good product. I would buy again from this vendor.

Pros
  • 9.5 x 4 x 8.5 inches; 8.01 Ounces
Cons
  • May not be suitable for senior dogs due to its toughness
