I just ordered this hook to replace a lost one. It works great with bulky threads. I have two sets of these crochet hooks and teach beginners how to crochet. I'm trying to use their hooks which I've been using for years and I apologize and go back to my hooks because they slide over the thread so easily I can't recommend them. I have had American and Japanese Etimo hook sets for several years. I wish they would come out with bigger hooks and finally I found out that Etimo came out with a size K (6.5mm) hook.
