Hand friendly

This hook takes a little getting used to at first, but after I got used to it it has become one of my favorite hooks. The ergonomic handle is really very helpful for arthritis hands. And it didn't take long for Luke to try a few others before I found one brand of tulips. My only complaint at the moment is that the stitches tend to slip off the hook if you're not careful with your grip. I think this can be solved by deepening the hook a bit so the yarn doesn't slip off so easily. There is such a

Highly recommended

I really like my tulip hooks. I also love my ADDI Swing hooks, Tulip is my second hook, usually if the hooks I need to use aren't available in ADDI they are in Tulip. Tulip hooks have a comfortable grip and thumb rest. If the yarn/thread seems to pull on the hook, I wipe with a soft, dry cloth, then maybe a few strokes of wax paper and the yarn/thread slides very easily again. If the pen feels sticky, dirty or whatever due to sweaty hands, I wash it with a very small amount of Dawn dish soap…

Hybrid/Rifled - high quality

tried many brands of hooks starting with boya, switched to susan bates inline when i was a beginner like i love this style of inline understood in contrast to the conical fighting style. But Bates hooks aren't very high quality these days and I was looking for ergonomic hooks with a soft grip.
