The right tool for the job

Bought this to widen the strike plate hole on my front door. I've seen a locksmith do this trick in less than a minute for a $200 home visit. Went like clockwork. The door "snaps” shut again!

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Metal Detector Monster@

What a beast! It was exactly what I was looking for. I needed something for my grinder to quickly remove metal and this helped. Highly recommended!* Tip: use cutting fluid with this bit (WD40 works great).

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • ---

Disappointing results

I had to open a few holes under my car to fit two 1/2 bolts. This file would sometimes cut through the metal and then bounce around in the hole without doing anything. I ended up using my saw and drill to make the hole I needed.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Very fragile but sharp

They chip very easily and need to be handled with care. I've used mine in a powerful 15,000rpm air motor and almost destroyed it in seconds on 304 stainless steel, when I used one on carbon steel and slowly inserted the cutting surface it took about 15 minutes or so.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Some difficulties
