100 meters good for network antennas

We have a barn currently about 100 meters away that has a wifi security camera installed. It also runs on solar energy, so its functionality is mostly self-sufficient. We don't get the best transmission and sometimes just nothing. With this directional outdoor Wi-Fi antenna, 100 meters is no longer a problem. I already had the necessary cables to run the antenna to our indoor Wi-Fi setup. The assembly wasn't too bad and the instructions were informative, easy to read and understand and the…

  • Great for a small house

not working for us yet

We have a last mile problem in our house. Our modem and router are in the living room. We get a good signal in our bedroom, maybe 75 feet away. Our daughter's room is a dozen feet from ours but in an L so you can't get straight into her room. It has a bad signal and we tried many things, extensions, repeaters. and I thought this might be the answer, either amplifying or redirecting the signal or using them as a collector. My husband tried to set it up but couldn't get it to work. He said…

Efficient-good seller service

Used on an external hotspot which was omnidirectional so was a little weak in a nearby building I wanted to connect. Put it down and the signal has greatly improved. As others have said, you will likely need an "N Male to RP-SMA Female" cable. Use that quote as a search term here on Revain and you'll get the right answer. My 3 foot was $10, $11 for 10 foot. Remember that signal loss is always an issue, so get the shortest possible cable that will allow you to place your antenna effectively…

  • High score for support and durability from testers
Cons

Does not include WiFi coaxial cable for connection.

Does not include everything you need to connect. I wasn't aware of that when ordering. This requires a coaxial WiFi cable. I don't know exactly how it works because my wifi box only accepts ethernet connections. I'm not sure if I can get the router to connect to my box and then plug a coax cable into it or something. I'm not familiar with this type of connection, so I'm trying to figure out exactly what type of cable I need and if I can get an adapter to go from coax to ethernet. In the…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Signal! Network antennas

We needed a shared internet connection from our main house to one of our buildings and didn't want to run Category 5e cable for hundreds of feet. With standard antennas on Wi-Fi routers we have very poor 2.4GHz connectivity and no service on 5GHz. We installed the antenna, pointed it to another node on the mesh network, and now we have great service on 5GHz. This antenna did the job!

Pros
  • Optimal

The most important thing is the range, as well as the placement

Hello everyone, my name is JustinProduct review only Tupavco 22 DBI 5GHZ antennaHow to install? Firstly, buy an N-RPSMA cable as it is not included. Connect the N side to the back of the antenna. Take the RP-SMA side and screw it to your router or Wi-Fi adapter. Any Wi-Fi adapter with an RP-SMA connector will work perfectly. Please note that this antenna is only suitable for the 5GHz band and will not work on 2.4 unless you modify the inside and make it dual band. These days, you really just…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No power

Actually works as advertised

Excellent point to point connectivity with these antennas. A very "thin" depth profile makes it easy to practically "hide" the presence of the antenna. Excellent RF performance. In this case, size matters, but the "length" and "width" of this relatively wide-bandwidth 5 GHz antenna means the actual usable RF gain.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
