Standard bracket upgrade

Haven't ridden it yet but once installed it seems very solid, much better than the bracket system that comes with Varia.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Only available in white

Best Mount: Electronics & Gadgets

This replaced the rubber mount that came with my rear radar. Despite the fixed mount, it appears to be 90 degrees from horizontal. Ease of installation. So far no problems.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Big and bulky

After all, it's still plastic

I don't trust the Garmin mount with rubber bands for my flashlight and radar. The Garmin seatpost mount was much more expensive. I decided to save money and take a risk. So far, so good. I like it.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Nothing

There is nothing wrong with this product.

Does the job perfectly - works on both my bikes with 27.2 and 31.6 seatposts. Easily slides over the seatpost clamp if you want. I tie my Varia to the seat so it doesn't fall out. Since it's made of durable plastic, I don't see why it won't last for years.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Will not work on narrower seat posts

Good idea, bad execution for narrow seatpost. I have a 26.4mm seatpost and the thicker adapter isn't big enough to fill the gap. I've used a thicker adapter with a thin one that closes the gap, but they aren't designed to be pinched and the thin adapter doesn't hold in place very well. I'll see how it holds up over time.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Don't want to worry about your $200 flashlight/radar falling off your bike?

The mount that comes with the Garmin Varia is terrible, especially for the price it is sold for. I would have expected the rubber bands to hold the seatpost mount for a cheap light. Instead, this mount should have come with the Garmin product. At least now I don't have to worry about my expensive flashlight/radar falling off the bike while riding. If you have a Varia I highly recommend buying this mount.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic controls

Slightly larger and slightly cheaper than the Garmin version

I had the Garmin version and loved it. It came with two different sized grommets to accommodate a different diameter seatpost and a pair of allen wrenches. But it was a bit small. There wasn't enough clearance between the seat post and the Garmin mount so I had to position it higher on the seat post which resulted in the top of my Cliq light being partially hidden by the saddle bike bag. So when I saw this on the Revain, while it looked like the Garmin version I bought, it also looked a bit…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competition has arrived
