Not bad for the money

All four read within 0.1F of each other so that's good. My only concern is that the wire size is very small. At least 1/2 the diameter of the other wires I have now. Time will tell, so take your chances.

Pros
  • Check, measure and inspect
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Seems fairly accurate but one was DOA

They appear to be fairly accurate - at least they give accurate readings in 62 degree water - but of the 4 shipped 1 was DOA (did not work on arrival) . I didn't even notice the 3 meter length. Very long. I'd be even more disappointed if 1 out of 4 didn't work, except I don't need all of them.

Pros
  • Temperature probes and gauges
Cons
  • unreliable

Tried and tested in the field of temperature and humidity

Ordered these to replace a thermocouple that read 15 degrees below zero. I tested them at 200°C and they all matched (within 1-2°C) a thermocouple I trust. This isn't the highest quality thermocouple you can buy, but at around $3 each, I'm happy with the purchase. I wouldn't want to run them at 400C max for long periods of time, but at the temperatures I use them for (less than 250C) they seem to work great.

Pros
  • Industry and Science
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
