Just what we need

We wanted a long rope for a landscaping project in front of our house. That was excellent. It WILL SHRINK when wet so we soaked it in a bucket overnight before wetting it. We're really glad we did this because it sags just enough to be attractive when it dries. Great purchase and quality rope.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Looks great, used in landscaping street stairs.

I used this item to wrap the tops of 4 posts used at each end of an outdoor staircase. I used 2" burlap for the handrails and attached each end to the posts indicated. I used 3/4" burlap which is suitable for 50ft sections so I bought 2 rolls of 100ft to make around to wrap and hide the connection between handrail and post.

Pros
  • A Sea of Positive Emotions
Cons
  • Modern

Smells HORRIBLE!: Rope

Rope smells horribly like old engine oil. My head hurts typing this because of the rope. I am extremely disappointed. I bought this rope for my daughter who will make a stool out of it. I chose this rope because it doesn't have to smell like oil. I air it, I hope it improves. The time will show. I can't have that smell in my house.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Some trouble

Nice strong rope! in a rope

I felled a dry 70 foot tree that didn't move due to the dense forest. He threw a hammer attached to nylon rope over a branch about 40 feet high, then passed jute rope over that branch and passed it around the tree, tying a slip knot at that end and fastening the other end of the jute rope. to my truck and hauled out a 2 foot diameter tree. The rope was big and strong enough!

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • weak

Functional and attractive

The rope is larger than I expected. I needed a strong but attractive rope for a hanging swing. It turned out to be the perfect choice. Great color and strength, but very attractive. It ties well without slipping like some plastic or nylon ropes. Due to the success here I will be replacing the current nylon encased front door swing with the same rope. Great looking and very functional product.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Appearance

Great so far! for tarps and ties

This rope has been weathered for a few weeks. Research shows that this type of rope decreases in length and increases in diameter. It rained almost every day and it's a good thing the rope broke. It pulled up a little at first, but now it stretched, but not much. I left enough length and will be tying the last knot tighter in about a week. It has retained its softness to this day. This is an inch and a half length of rope, and the holes drilled are also 1 1/2. Time will tell if the rope swells,

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Fading
