For me, the cheapest is the best.

I swim 4-6 miles a week and these have always been my favorite goggles. I've tried other brands only to keep coming back to this one. They are comfortable and reliable. I use anti-fog so they last months. Never again will I spend 20 and 30 dollars on breaking news. These cheap glasses fit me best. The only criticism is a very thin headband. It wears out quickly. However, I am using a better quality headband that I picked up from another expensive pair. I always keep an extra new pair on hand.

Pros
  • Used by both pros and amateurs
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Don't let the name fool you

Don't let the name fool you. These are trash goggles for kids that you know will be taken off and thrown on the pool deck to get lost or step on. I've been swimming 4-7 miles every week for over 20 years. I used to be a regular customer of TYR Technoflex. 2.0 was great, 4.0 was worse but still the best. For some reason TYR seems to have stopped making that line. Not even available in your own network. I bought a few of these Racetech just to test them but have switched to other brands.

Pros
  • Universal Fit is suitable for kids and adults alike
Cons
  • Reliability

No adjustment possible, poor sealing; unusable

The "adjustable" nose bridge is almost impossible to adjust. I'm an adult in good physical condition, and with all my strength and direction, I could barely get this thing to move a single step. It is in the form of a jagged hook that cannot fit through a narrow plastic slot. In addition, the adjustable headband is very cumbersome to adjust. And I ended up not having a good fit despite fighting her for almost an hour. They go in the trash can. Unfortunately, TYR appears to have discontinued the

The only glasses that fit me

I've been told I have big eyes. I've worn this style in recreational swim leagues, year round swim, 2 workouts a day, meets, dive, sprint races and distance for 30 years. I have tried several times to switch to smaller fashion glasses but they have always been discontinued. They are tried and true to me. I suck them up gently and they are great. You don't sweat or run. I took a break from swimming for a few years and then ordered these. Maybe the bridge of the nose had changed shape or size…

Comfortable and affordable glasses.

After exclusively using Speedo goggles I tried Tyr goggles. This is the third Tyr I've bought. The other two I have are smoky for sun protection, but I wanted a clear pair for better visibility when using them at an indoor pool. I found all three pairs to be more comfortable than goggles and I particularly recommend Racetech because they have an adjustable nosepiece. I have found that the soft, flexible eye pads create a nice, comfortable "sucker" on my eye sockets without the need for a very…

Very comfortable but the rubber seal came off

I have a hard time finding glasses that fit. I have a narrow face and my eyes are set so the glasses either don't fit properly and leak, or they fit but cut my nose or eyebrows and give me a headache. These TYR Racetech goggles fit GREAT and have what I need - adjustable nose bridge, nice soft rubber eye pads. The reason for only two starts is that I've only had them for these three months and the rubber seal around one of the goggles has already come loose. I found a pad in a protective sock…

  • Vulgarity

Basically, they protect the eyes from water ingress. What else do you need?

I've worn the exact same model of TYR glasses for almost 30 years. They are easier on the eyes than the "swedes" or unlined glasses that many people prefer. I never liked them so I basically stayed with them from an early age when I was on the swim team. Another TYR I've had for a number of years finally broke a few weeks ago so I had to order more. Used like any other glasses. Mine, which I ordered last week, arrived with the strap already slightly scratched, so I'm wondering how long they…
