Check Compatibility

Couldn't get it to work. After a considerable amount of time talking to tech support (which did not inspire confidence), I was told that the server was not compatible with my printer, which is a few years old.

Small but works well on any type of network/USB printer

I've had this for 4 months now. I have no problem with that. I've been thinking about buying a few more to extend the 10/100 network. Web Admin is very easy to set up, change the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway. Also supports remote printing over the Internet. The USB 2.0 connection is very fast. Again a very small range that works very well. The best way to set up this device using a laptop or desktop computer is to change the IP address to match the device's default address. Then…

Not for Windows 7: Print Servers

This product may work well with XP, but Windows 7 had nothing but software and driver installation issues. Even with USR support, I've spent many hours trying to get it to work with an XP laptop, Windows, and a desktop to no avail. I've always had good luck and good support with USR/3COM products, but I just couldn't get the product to work the way I wanted.
