Efficient and Reliable UAC SW 1017C Push Button Switch for Enhanced Control Review

This switch looked exactly like the original but didn't fit. I even tried to modify it to fit and only managed to break the switch. My old one was back in my car with no installation problems. I would not buy it again and would not recommend it.

I like the updated lighting (LED, not incandescent), but the plastic case fits pretty poorly and takes a lot of effort to fit into the slot behind the dash. Also, there are gaps around it that weren't on the original.

I have found that a toothpick is ideal for removing an old switch. After making sure the plugin configuration is the same, we clicked on the new switch. The switch is fully operational and running without any modifications. We're cool again!

The part does not correspond to the dimensions of the original parts. The external dimensions (width x height) are slightly larger than they should be. I had to push the switch into the dash with more force than necessary to get the switch all the way to the seated position. I don't know how to remove the switch next time I want to disassemble my dashboard. 2 stars due to poor installation. otherwise the switch works fine.

When I received this product it looked good, the first thing that struck me was the use of LED backlighting instead of incandescent, I liked it. Went to plug in, doesn't fit the hole. I had to change the switch and the hole. Then as soon as I plugged it in, it didn't fully connect to the pins on the back. I had to redo it all over again and adjust it. Now it sits nice and shiny. Turn on the button and the LED to indicate the air conditioner is on or off all the time. It's either light or dark…
