The product was delivered with a dead battery. That's quality control for you. I would suggest looking elsewhere for this product.

I've been using these types of thermometers for at least 10 years, they last a long time and I usually only have to replace them when I need to leave it in someone's dust and forget it.

. I bought two Uei 550B. One of them showed "Err" and has no temperature reading. The other is fine. It seemed like I should put them back together. But I only got 80% back. Unsatisfied.

Magnetic head holds the thermometer in the duct without falling out or damaging the sensor. I have bought several over the years and will continue to buy them. I hope they don't change anything!

Looked like new both in the box and when I took it out of the box. Not turned on, could not be used and now the return period has expired. I had to check as soon as I received it. I guess my acceptance led to my loss.

I know the accuracy is within their specs, but I'm not happy with the temperature being about 2 degrees above actual temperature. I compare it with another digital thermometer of the same brand and with two other brands. The buttons are small. There is no backlight. Small ad. I think there are better ways to spend your money

Exact, fast and very handy magnet. I was pleasantly surprised at the accuracy, did the classic tests with ice water and boiling water to see how it would work and they were within a grade for both which is really amazing for such a low price. I bought it to check the temperature in the HVAC ducts, but I'm sure I'll find another use for it. Order another to have one in the truck and one around the house.

I bought two of these testers and my first impression was not very good. The first tester I opened turned on immediately, the second didn't. So I had to go immediately and track down the battery. Works for quickly measuring air and pipe temp, running water etc. I have two, have been using one for several years. The battery lasts a long time and has never been changed. The magnet at the base of the probe allows it to cling to ceiling vents, just don't drop it from above and gouge your eye out :) Both of my thermometers read +/- 0.1 degrees, what for my use is fine if you need something that is very accurate look for something that will give very accurate temperatures this is a quick…
